Helen was 36 and worked as a dental nurse before having to give it up due to ill health.
She married Lee in 1999 and then gave birth to a gorgeous little boy called Euan.
Helen was a fantastic friend and gave me tremendous support over many years. She was always ready to
listen and give advise.
I met Helen whilst being involved with TOG'S this is a centre which supported children with
disabilities and other families who have other challenges to face within their lives.
Helen and i quickly became friends and our children played together often. We used to go out for
meals and have bbq's during the summer.
I have treasured memories of Helen, Lee and Euan that will stay with me forever.
I have created this site on behalf of Lee and Euan and am planning to hand it over to them as soon
as they are able to.

Please show your support to this very special family by writing a tribute or lighting a candle.

Helen you are always and will always be in our thoughts xxx

Hi Helen

Some people will do anything to get out of there wheelchair. I remember it like yesterday, those times we hauled you up on the float for the carnival. Helen you had so much spirit in you and you really did care for those people around you. I always knew when you were at Togs, because there was always laughter. I use to call you double trouble. You certainly were. Keep Lee and Euan strong, I know they miss your laughter, you certainly did give up without a fight. Take care of Bobbie Lou and no swearing. Give Lee and Euan the strength they need, and no hiding Euans comfort blanket. Take care

lots of love Chris (NCH)

I just wanted to say that i was thinking of you today Lee, I know it's your birthday and it must be so hard without Helen today. I always remember your birthday cos it's the day after Bobbi died. My thoughts are with you and euan today and always. If there's anything you need just ring. Gareth's still waiting for that night out so give him a bell.

Helen, you are always in my thoughts and i'm sure you are looking after my little girl up there. Shine down on Lee and Euan and send them plenty of love (i'm sure you are).

Always Remembered

Helen, firstly i would like to thank you for all the support you gave to us over the years that we knew each other. You and Lee were always there for us through all the bad times and much more special, through the good. I have so many memories of us all it so hard to choose from but i will always remember you teaching Bobbi to say 'mums bum'. Not many people had the ability to teach Bobbi things but you did, i guess that's what made you special.
I know Bobbi absolutly loved you and Lee. I could tell because of the way she responded to you.
I will always remember the first time we met. Euan was wearing his dungarees (I always think of him in his dungeers) and you were fairly quiet (we should have made the most of that it didn't happen often). You soon came out of yourself though and before we knew it we became very good friends.
I really wish that we hadn't drifted apart because the times our families spent together was brilliant but i suppose these things happen. You will always be in my thoughts and no-one can take precious memories away. Please look after my little angel, Bobbi-lou, i know you will. Try not to teach her any bad habits (ok maybe one or two!). I now know that Bobbi in in the best hands possible. Till we meet again xxx

My Thoughts are with you.

Lee, my heart truly goes out to you and Euan and I can only imagine what a struggle each day must be for you both. You and Helen had such a fab relationship together and always made me laugh. I have so many memories of you as a family and support you gave to others. I will never forget any of them. Keep strong Lee, all my love to Euan xx

Helen, I bet you were watching us today and having a good giggle, if you were watching you will know what we mean, we had a funny five minutes, stopped and thought of you straight away as you would have found it really funny.
I feel assured that you are looking after my unborn angels forever and what a task you have keeping that Bobbi Lou under control. xxxxx

All my love to you all of your family xx

Gone but not forgotten

I only knew Helen (Lee and Euan) for about a year and a half, after joining Greenbanks and becoming one of Helen`s carers. In that short space of time, I grew very close to Helen, as we had many things in common, being roughly the same age, and having children of the same age.I have got to say, I miss Helen very much, she was my favourite 'servce user', and we used to have such a laugh together, Helen had such a vibrant and fun loving personality, it was hard to think of Helen as disabled, as she was so independent, strong, and such a big personality!Helen had such an infectious laugh! and tremendous sense of humour!

So glad to have had the chance , and honour of meeting Helen, and counting her as one of my friends. She was a big inpiration to me, and I`m sure to many others. Many condolences to Lee and Euan, like I said, I`m here if you need me. Keep in touch, and take care. xx
